Woman In Gold

Woman in Gold tells the remarkable true story of World War Two survivor Maria Altmann, played by Helen Mirren, and her fight to reclaim what’s rightfully hers. Aided by American lawyer Randol Schoenberg, Ryan Reynolds, the elderly Jewish refugee sues the Austrian government to recover priceless artwork which she believes belongs to her family.

Munky were thrilled to be asked by Polly Duvall to work a little bit of magic on a selection of shots. Our artists created some beautiful gold leaf work in the flashback scenes of the ‘Woman in Gold’ itself being painted, as well as some painstaking clean up to ensure as much authenticity as possible.
